BOND INSTRUMENTATION was incorporated in May 1975 to provide a world-wide, comprehensive service and support capability for Instrumentation and Automation/Control equipment in the Marine Industry. Scope of work varies from breakdown callouts, planned refits/dry-dockings and voyage repairs to major upgrading of ships automation and control equipment in our capacity as systems integrators.

The new Quality Assurance standard ISO9001:2000 was awarded to Bond in November 2002, regular independent audits ensure we provide a high quality of service.

Our main operating location is Tollesbury, Essex, close to the A12 and M11 road network, within easy reach of Stansted Airport and the East Coast ferry ports. Support facilities of Service Control, Repairs Workshop, Project Engineering Office and Administration are provided from Tollesbury.

Bond Instrumentation is also an approved contractor for carrying out work on board Ministry of Defence vessels, in particular with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, where we have been supporting the control and automation systems of their fleet for the last 25 years.

In 1980 Bond Instrumentation acquired Servodyne Controls of Stockton on Tees, manufacturers of electronic governors for Doxford Marine engines.
